Over the past few weeks, you may have noticed the Pulse team in the Fiona Stanley Main Concourse area with their brightly coloured stall (and perfectly cut lettering). The Faces of Pulse stall offered a vibrant way to bring one of Pulse’s core ideas — from us to us — to life. What began as a simple display quickly grew into a welcoming space where community members could pause, connect and learn more about the vision behind Pulse.
Throughout the event, people of all ages stopped by to ask questions, share their stories and add their photo to the Faces of Pulse board, creating a colourful snapshot of the community Pulse aims to support. Families, staff and local visitors all took part, and during the school holidays, children added extra energy with creative colouring activities and plenty of smiles.
Pulse ambassador Dickon also visited the stall, taking the time to say hello and proudly “show his face” on the board.
Pulse thanks everyone who took a moment to stop by, engage and contribute to the spirit of the space.
What stood out most was the genuine interest and positivity from everyone who engaged with the space. As Pulse continues to grow, the enthusiasm and encouragement shared by the community highlighted how strongly people connect with its purpose — supporting the people, ideas and innovations that will help strengthen local health care now and into the future.
Pulse is built on the idea of community backing community. It’s about coming together to create something meaningful and make a lasting impact.
But Pulse isn’t just Fiona Stanley Hospital
Pulse is here for the entire SMHS community. Over the coming weeks, the Pulse team will be visiting additional sites, and staff are encouraged to come down, say hello and learn more.
Upcoming visits:
- Fremantle Hospital: Monday 23 February – Friday 27 February
- Rockingham General Hospital: Tuesday 3 March – Friday 6 March
- Peel Health Campus: Monday 9 March – Friday 13 March
