What you see is a survivor. What you don’t see is the recovery.
Head and neck cancer can have a lasting impact long after treatment ends, affecting a person’s ability to speak, eat, work and connect with others.
While cancer treatment saves lives, recovery support helps people rebuild them.
For many patients, the journey continues long after treatment is over, requiring specialised rehabilitation, ongoing support and compassionate care.
How you can get involved. Show your support by:
- Wear a scarf on 30Th July
- Visit the Behind the Scarf stall in the Fiona Stanley Hospital Concourse
- Donate to Behind the Scarf
- Sharing the message and helping raise awareness
Together, we can celebrate the strength of patients, the dedication of clinicians and the difference that compassionate care and community support can make.
Thank you for helping us support people living with and beyond head and neck cancer.
